Ukuleles For Ukraine

As of July 2022, more than 8 million people have fled Ukraine in what the United Nations calls Europe’s fastest-growing refugee crisis since World War II. Refugee children and youth that have left their homes due to this crisis are at risk of experiencing psychological issues, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety disorders.

At the Ukulele Kids Club, our mission is to support children whose well-being is impacted by physical or mental health hardships. This is why we are launching this special campaign to bring our mission of gifting music for wellness to youth who have been impacted by the Ukraine war.

Tony award-winning actress Laura Benanti, joins the U Kan challenge to send Ukuleles to the Ukrainian children.

How You Can Help

  1. Donate what you can as a one-time or recurring donation. Monthly donations help ensure the sustainability of our work and make a lasting difference.
  2. Create your own fundraising page by clicking on “I Want To Fundraise For This”
  3. Join our social media campaign #UkulelesForUkraine #UKan and post a ukulele song cover or a picture pointing into the camera with this suggested caption:

We stand with refugees and U Kan too. Kan with a K. K as in Ukelele and K as in Ukraine. Right now, U Kan donate to send ukuleles for Ukrainian kids, and even if for a while, help them find comfort and hope through music.

Ukulele is Comfort

Children that have been impacted by the Ukraine war need our support now. In collaboration with the World Federation of Music Therapy’s Global Crisis Intervention Commission, we will support children who have remained in Ukraine, as well as refugee children working with music therapists all across Europe.

Through ukulele and learning material donations, we can provide a way that children can learn how to use music for wellness and for life.
